How important are mid-year reports for freshman transfer applicants? Will it be very detrimental if you have all A's and one B or B+ in seven classes; With a 4.0 GPA and the B/B+ in a junior level course?

I think for Cornell it would be pretty darn important as they stressed it on the form. It would even make more sense if you are applying as a freshman, since there is only one semester's finalized grades available for them to review.

One B or B+ isn't going to kill you. Honestly... if anything.. If you go all A's + 1 B or B+ while taking 7 classes... and throw in a 4.0 up to the semester (even if that is only your first semester), this will probably only go to show that your grades from your first semester were not a fluke. If I were you... I'd almost hope they were counted somewhat heavily, since that is still a very, very good semester.

I would kill for all A's and one B/B+. Are you an over achiever or something?
