Im really trying to find out how important attendance is when it comes to applying for college like a university?I am a great student academically it’s just I have bad attendance I have one of the best grade point averages in my school last quarter or semester whatever you want to call it but my attendance is bad and im curious how much that impacts my chances going to a university?Im only a freshman so I have no idea how colleges look at attendance compared to your gpa
Any feedback will be extremely helpful
I have never heard of a college looking at an applicant’s school attendance. However, where it could come up is in a counselor or teacher recommendation.
It is always good to get in the habit of having good attendance. This will ultimately afford you good grades which will help you get into college.

First of all, you are talking about having “one” of the best grades in just “quarter” or “semester.” It’s never impressive to have “one” of the best grades in freshman year, especially in just one quarter/semester. Also, you are just a “freshman.” If you keep having bad attendance, your grade will only go down as you continue your years in high school.
