My school does not rank students, however it does have a decile system. I come from a very competitive school, and I am not sure where I fall (counselors do not tell us). I have a strong upward trend in grades (Straight A's last semester) and am currently taking a very demanding schedule. Will my upward trend and tough schedule help make up for my potential decile rank? I am not sure where I am, but I do not think that I am in the top 10%.

By the way, I applied Early Decision and have great test scores.

Class rank is nice, but not huge, because so many schools don’t rank anyway.
The most important objective criteria are test scores, which you say are “great,” how hard your curriculum was relative to the hardest curriculum available at your school, and your grades.

Thanks for the response. My school only weights AP classes so, in a sense, a person is almost disadvantaged from taking Honors classes and not getting A’s. This leads to the decile rankings being a bit off because people who never take Honors or AP classes still can have high GPA’s/decile rankings.
