I understand that GPA in general is very important to top schools. I personally have a 3.75 overall, but I got a 4.0 junior year. Do you guys think that because there are so many applicants admissions officers cut a line and automatically reject students without a certain gpa/text score etc?

Not a starter problem at 3.75 uw.
They review holistically. So it somewhat depends on what the non-A grades were and in what. Most adcoms don’t care about non-solids and review the transcript, not just gpa. Most will do this in light (even a little) of your proposed major. And, the tougher your hs, the more rigorous your courses, the better.
