Hello! So im curious about this, i have heard from people that studying in a state and city with big and many companys is important. Because it would be easier to find a job after college. Now is this really true?
Ive been looking to study in Tallahassee and major in computer science. I have no plans to stay there after though, i have my sights set on the bigger cities. Would this be a problem? Should i rather look to study in San Diego or phoenix as there are plenty of Jobs nearby? Landing a job after college as an international is hard as it is but majoring in cs atleast increases the chance. Do smaller companies tend to sponsor with H1B more often or is it vice versa?
It is very difficult to get a job after graduation if you are an international student.

Assume that you will return to your country.
It is much easier to interview for jobs with local companies. Few companies want to pay for a plane ticket to fly in applicants for an entry-level job.
If you want to stay in the US after your OPT runs out, getting married is a much safer bet than trying for an H-1B.
lol @b@r!um , did you get married by any chance? That is great advice, but probably not everyone can find love that way. The UCSIS is quite tough on fake marriages?
I wouldn’t suggest a fake marriage. I am just saying that it wouldn’t hurt to put “finding a spouse” higher up on one’s list of priorities.
