As a freshman I had a horrible math teacher and went B C in hon. geo. She forced me to go down to normal alge 2. its is a piece of cake and they won't let me into Hon. Precal. So lets just say if i get A's in math the rest of highschool and take AB calc how badly wll it hurt my chances. Also important to note I am stellar (honors/AP) at everything else.

Business majors need to take calculus and statistics. Whether it is necessary to take the honors math courses depends on the quality of your high schools honors and non-honors math courses (in terms of how well they will prepare you for calculus and statistics).

Will they let you go from regular math to AP Calc AB?

As long as you get to Calc in any form, even non-AP, you should be fine for most non-elite programs. You’ll probably be more than qualified for the elite ones as well, but you’ll be up against a bunch of people who have had the AP level classes, so in that sense you’ll pale by comparison, but there may not be much you can do about it, and if you have to go where assigned, that’s hardly your fault. But you should appeal and see if there’s any way to get back on the honors/AP track, particularly if you’ve got sold A’s in the non-honors class.
