Junior year I am also taking AP Stats, AP Chemistry, and AP US History. How important is it to go all the way to the AP level with Spanish? I plan on going into a BS/MD medical program if that helps. I've heard the class is very difficult, so I don't want to take it if it's unnecessary.

Since you may do your residency in an area with a large Spanish-speaking population, I see no valid reason for not taking the next level of Spanish. If the next level has a non-AP option, that’s fine, too.

I’m in the same boat as you. I actually asked the same question on here.

The Spanish 4 AP class at my school is pretty easy so I’ve decided to take it as just another way to bump up my resume. Spanish may actually come in handy in the medical field, who knows. If I were you, I would take the class. AP classes always reflect well on you and at the very least you will get college credit if you pass the AP test. Unless the teacher is crazy difficult and you feel like the class would negatively affect your GPA, go for it!
