How important is it to update your mailing address?

Basically, I'm a suburban nomad, and me and my family move a LOT (apartment to apartment).

My senior year alone we made five or six major moves between two different cities.

Point being, what are the negative ramifications if I don't update my mailing address?

---Mind you, that I do stop by with the new residents of the house we use to rent (we moved in early February), and I collect mail from them. Also we've updated the post office with our new address.

I don't want to update my address because I KNOW that we're moving apartments again within the next month.

PS: Have the uc's sent out anything important via mail within the last couple of months?

Thx

Why don't you want to update it every time you move?
Just email ucinfo@ucapplication.net with your full name, app id #, and new address. Takes less than a minute :)

i don't want to update it everytime because the places I'm living at are pretty sketchy, and I'm afraid my mail might get either misplaced or stolen. I've already lost a couple packages so I really don't want to risk it.

Maybe you should get a PO Box, or a box from the UPS store, and put that down as your permanent address?

^^snap! that's an excellent idea! I'll do that--thanks!
