Is math really really important in business? I mean some business majors like economics needs some math, but what about the other types such as international business and finanace and accounting (you probably do need math in this dept.)? How much math do you really need, is x,/,+,- enough or do you have to learn the advance stuff like calculus

Calculus makes you a better person.

calculus is hell

There are TONS of statistical and economical applications in calculus, so you will probably need at least the basic calculus courses. It's not bad though. Calculus was actually my best math course in high school.

I would be surprised if there is a business or finance major out there that doesn't require calculus. In real life, you can probably rely on computer or calculator programs that do the calculations for you. But you need to know what it is you are calculating and why.

If you are math-adverse, perhaps you should do some research as to what any particular field actually entails doing. My take on business and finance is that they are very numbers driven and certainly beyond basic arithmetic (deciding whether to undertake particular investments, picking production level, determining price, etc.). There are certainly lots of business examples in a calculus book I have.

DEFINITELY take calculus. It has sooo many applications to it, and most of them are really easy to see.
