How important is PAE?

I was wondering, if the PAE scores figure into admissions process. I heard from somewhere that they "higher you get, the better the chances"? Is that true?

EDIT: I know if you fail it, you aint going in.

YEs... it's pass/fail but at the same time they do do a cumulative point thing w/ all your events and it counts 10% towards your admissions score

and yes if you fail you aint goen

wait so your saying the admissions process is a point based system thingy?

Here's a link to a good powerpoint presentation by the Director of Admissions of USMA - www.usma.edu/PublicAffairs/club/Admissions.ppt

One of the slides shows the percentages for the Whole Candidate Score - which includes the PAE.

there are many other factors that go into the admissions process.. but in Lamence terms... yes it's a point system

10% PAE/ALO interview
60% acadeemics
30% Extra curricular/leadership/volunteer etc

what is PAE?

physical aptitude exam

Here is a link to the admissions site which describes the PAE which is now called the CFA (Candidate Fitness Assessment)
