How important is part. 2 application for engineering?

I will apply to CU for engineering under regular decision.
and I just wonder how important it is for the part. 2 written questions.

My friend who got accepted by CU last year told me part 2 is not that important?

anyone?

Thanks

That might be the most false statement I have ever read!

Listen I got into CU early this year (engineering) and I have a few tips:

In your essays show interest in the institution… They want people who really like the institution and want to go there.

For example in my essays I kept talking about how wonderful CU was in the open house. The truth is I loved CU and thats why I want ot go there so it was easy for me to give off that impression in my essays.

Thanks so much!!!

I was accepted to Cooper a few years ago and didn’t spend much time on the part 2. For some of the questions I only had one or two line responses. It’s a numbers game first and foremost.

@ken285:

thx for ur info. I guess I am a little bit confused now…><

ken wat were u numbers… i have 95.5 average 1420 (760 on math) 750 math II amd 720 on chem

Those are good numbers but they don’t blow you away

I had a 94 or 95 average, 1410 sat, high 700s for math II and low 700s for chem, physics, bio SAT II. What helped me was I attended a well known rigorous high school.

Sorry I don’t remember my exact numbers. It’s been 8 years!
