How important is Physics on your HS Transcript?

In terms of my courses and course rigor on my transcript, my science courses pale in comparison to the other disciplines – these are the courses I have taken in the 5 main subject areas:

English - English 9 Honors, English 10 Honors, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition
History - US History 1 Honors, AP US History, AP World History, AP United States Politics and Government, College-Level Sociology
Math - Geometry Honors, Algebra II Honors, Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Calculus AB
Science - Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, Honors Marine Biology
Foreign Language - Latin I CP, Latin II Honors, Latin III Honors, Latin IV Honors

I worry that colleges (mainly BU) are going to be concerned about my less-than-challenging courses in science – my GC told me that colleges don’t expect or require Physics if you aren’t a STEM major (I applied as a Politics/Philosophy major to BU) – so that’s why I never went ahead and took Physics. I’m seriously concerned that the overall rigor of my high school transcript is going to kill my application… :(

I didn’t even take physics and I got in as a STEM major at CAS. I think that you’re fine. Plus you’re taking all honors and APs.

I think you should take a breather and relax. You’ve made many threads here, and probably tons and tons of people have told you that you’ll get in. You’re fine. If anything, BU is a low match or safety for you.
