<p>It depends more so on if your major related to science (engineering, biology, etc.) where research opportunities would be readily available, depending on location of course. If it is obvious that you want to study something more along the lines of the humanities/ social sciences, then it really wouldn’t matter.</p>
<p>Overall, they are just trying to see an additional dimension in your application but if you have expressed yourself well in other submitted writings, there really is no reason to be worried.</p>

<p>I saw people posting that they sent an abstract from their research… is it bad that I only summarized the work I did over the summer at a university? It never said like send us an abstract or anything like that so I didnt… will that hurt me?</p>
