Just curious, sorry if this is a stupid question. But What is SAT Subject Test?
and How important is it??

[SAT Subject Tests - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](SAT Subject Tests - Wikipedia)

Its importance depends greatly on where you are applying.

This is totally off topic, but how is my advice for the SAT working xgedokid1412?

Oh so sorry for not replying T_T. Just like you said I’m trying to get every prep book and studying and learning stradegies. Also practicing problems. However, I’m using Kaplan’s 2011 SAT guide book first(I got it from school). I will get the blue book after I finish the book just like you said/ Thank you!! And of course I find you advice very useful and helpful! Thank you so much once again!

It’s important for competitive colleges. Even if they say that they won’t REQUIRE the tests, you should still take them to gain a competitive edge. And at top universities/Ivies, it’s a given that you take several SAT II’s and score perfect or near-perfect on them.

Do you know how many it is required for some colleges??

Usually 2, sometimes 3.

Which ones are the good ones to take?

It’s not that important, even for competitive colleges. It’s like, if you get below a 700 (for competitive colleges) it’s sort of a red flag, but you’re not going to get an “extra point” if you get an 800 as opposed to a 750 or something. Of course, it’s always good to get the highest score possible but you’re not going to get denied because of your subject test score. At least that’s how I see it.

all competitive universities require a max of 2 sat subjects, expect georgetown (which requires 3) i believe
