Ok assume someone has a high math and cr score but with a low writing score..do the admission officers look at the writing section as heavily? since its the new section. i heard some universities ignore it but is this the case for columbia? and if they look at it, do they look at it as a SATII score? plzz help!

According to Kaplan, Columbia is hanging loose on the subject, unlike some schools which are either giving it great weight or little weight.

Many schools are just looking at it as a Writing SAT II, but giving it less weight than that. I have a hunch that's what Columbia is doing.

^i hope thats the case..cuz my dilemma is i want to take a few more satII so i can apply to universities that require 3..(princeton, yale etc..) but im just afraid my writing score will reduce my chances for those universities and for the ones that require two (columbia). so i need to decide whether to retake satI so i can increase my chances with the ones im applying to now or take satII but have lower chances for everything.
