<p>Right now, I'm in 2213, which had a prerequisite of math 1920, yet we haven't actually used any multivariable in the coursework; most of it is just mentioned in passing when the formulas are being derived. Could I easily get away with taking 2930 and 2214 concurrently, or will it be detrimental to my performance?</p>
<p>its doable, you don’t really solve any differential equations in 2214, at least thus far, you just assume the correct solution and then occasionally check that it fits </p>
<p>that said 2214 is hard enough with having already taken differential equations, not sure if I’d want to make it any harder</p>
<p>I suppose you could still get by without DiffEq, since you probably won’t end up solving anything too hard. You’ll have to teach yourself the wave equation, probably, since that’s covered at the end of 2930. </p>
<p>Be warned, though; 2214 is really hard, and the class is mostly sophomores and juniors.</p>
