<p>In the beginning, you don't go to straight to the point, do you? I mean, don't you set up your essay with the first paragraph and then explain the significance of that little scenario in the rest of the essay?</p>

<p>How is 500 words in length? I mean I think the essays good, but do readers actually check and see how many words you wrote?</p>
<p>It’s your essay, so there’s no set structure that you need to use. They like to stress the importance of the opening line, so I’d try for something catchy and attention-grabbing. Mine has an introduction paragraph but it’s not mandatory.</p>
<p>Of all the officers I’ve met, yeah, but that’s just what I’ve seen.</p>
<p>I think this is where quality over quantity would come into play… if your 500 word essay says everything that needs to be said, there’s no need to potentially damage it by making it any longer.</p>
