Hi
I'm about to apply to some top schools (Columbia, Yale...) but i've got a problem.
I'm an international student from public non-english speaking school, got 2190 on the SAT (CR 710, W 710, M 770), gonna take World History and Maths 2 this weekend (expecting 700), got strong recommendations, very strong EC's, strong essays I guess... But my GPA is weak (about 3.0) although it's growing as one can see when looking at my high school reports.
Will that kill my chances ?

Depends on the context in which you got that GPA. Can you explain it? Do you have upward trend?

In all honesty, probably unless a 3.0 means something very different in your country than it does here. Any successful applicant at these schools needs to be top of class, an international even more so. Your SAT score is also below median at both, so you would have to be offering a spectacular talent to be competitive at either.
