So I may apply to GW, and I was just wondering how important the interview is weighed in the process? It says it is not required, but a lot of schools say that but strongly reccomend them. If I don't interview, would I be at at disadvantage?
Thanks

The answer is no disadvantage. But if you are a great interviewer, it will only add points to you. If you have a borderline application and you think interviewing can show a side of you that is not visible in paper, I would do so.
I didn't do it, because I just was not quite ready then for that type of interpersonal communication, and I think I would have not done well. I hope it helps clarify.

Thank you for the info. I'm not too great in interviews, so I don't think it will help me much. So I probably won't interview. I just wanted to ask because I know some school say you are at an automatic disadvantage if you choose not to interview, but I'm glad GW isn't like that.

Green apple, you can rest assured on that. It will help only if you are goos at it.
Good luck!

I just did an interview this past weekend and it is well worth it. I think GW takes the interview seriously and it was not bad at all. It is more of a conversation than an interview.
