How important is the visit?

It seems like Rice puts a big emphasis on the campus visit...and if I had found out about the school sooner, I could have visited. (I live in NJ)

However, my dad was transferred to Romania for his job during my Junior year, and now there is no way my mom, young sister and I could possibly visit a campus that is halfway across the country.

I did schedule an interview though -- this is more important then the visit right...?

Yeah, I hope its not a big deal. I really couldn't get a visit in before I applied. AND I asked for the interview late... hope thats not a big deal. o.O

Haha, I live in TX and there's no way I can go down all the way to Houston for a visit; I might as well be in New Jersey.

Yeah for Texas being the size of the entirety of New England!

But anyways, I have no idea how much impact it has... it technically shouldn't have any, since that would be giving disadvantage to people with lesser means, etc.
