how important is your course load?

<p>if someone has taken four IB classes each year-and has made almost all A's in all of them (the core 4), but filled their schedule with other things (athletics, broadcast journalism, etc) will they be written off automatically? Can extracurriculars and community service make up for this lack of extra IB courses?</p>

<p>I would say it is important that your counselor can check the box saying you have taken the most challenging curriculum at your school, and that is something that ND does look for. Because of that, if you have the chance, I would just stick with the advanced classes if I were you.</p>
