How is it that every student at Berea gets a full tuition scholarship…yet the school’s endowment is near a billion??

I mean, seriously! I don’t understand this. Some of the schools that I’m considering (like Reed, Marlboro, Shimer, & Trinity) have an endowment that is no where near that of Berea’s.

And, even though Berea hands each one of its students a full tuition scholarship…its endowment remains healthy, HUGE, and growing…

Like…***…lol seriously.

Why aren’t other more prestigious liberal arts colleges endowments (like Reed/Trinity) this massive…while also giving super duper generous financial aid to its students; as Berea does?

Is Berea defying the laws of physics, or something?

Bumpitty-bump-bump-bump.

Anybody?

This is why the word “PRETIGIOUS” needs to be redefined in terms of college rankings.
Berea is obviously living to the ultimate principles of Economics.
It might not be as simple as Economics 101, but they are operating on that principle, of managing their expenses and ONLY diverting them to where THEY ARE MOSTLY needed.
Something, NOT all schools can replicate.
This is why I love this school, and if I can learn anything from them, it would be its management and operation style, and apply that to my LIFE as a whole.

Thus, closing my case on self identifying BEREA COLLEGE as the “HARVARD OF THE SOUTH”.

Not sure if anyone is willing to challenge me with that at the SUPREME COURT…LOL
