How intense is the B.A. program?

I want a good, strong theater program but i’m not too sure about doing it for 9 hours, 3 days a week. Can anyone tell me how intense MMC’s theater program is? non musical theater.

I've been wondering the same thing only about the musical theater minor, could anyone tell me how intense that is as well? :o Thanks!!

Um, I guess the easiest way to explain is to just list the required classes . . .

BA in Theatre Performance:
Freshman Year - Script Analysis, Acting I, Stagecraft, Tech Crew
Sophomore - Acting II, Theatre History, Voice and Speech, Managament of the Arts OR Intro to Playwriting OR Stage Managanement (There are lots of options for this, they just want you to take a class in something that isn't acting)
Junior - Shakespeare, Elements of Directing
Senior - Advanced Studies in Theatre

The schedule lightens up the last two year so that people can choose elective classes that focus on something they're interested in (musical theatre, acting for camera, solo acting, movement, dialects, etc.)

Musical Theatre Minor:
All the BA stuff, plus . . .
Freshman - Daily Dance, Voice Lessons, History of Musical Theatre, Music Theory
Sophomore - Daily Dance, Voice Lessons, Musical Theatre Techniques
Junior - Daily Dance, Voice Lessons, Scene into Song
Senior - Daily Dance, Voice Lessons, Auditioning Techniques, Senior Showcase
