I want some info to figure out how well I can do on this test. Does anyone have the formula for calculating scores? My teacher made our semester exam a practice ap test but she got us an older score formula that doesn't match with the actual test. On the test i took, she said we only had to get 30/75 mc right for an A on that part and she graded the free response pseudo-realistically. I got a 5 with her formula and seriously doubt thats accurate. I answered 32 mc and got 1 or 2 wrong but i could have answered at least 40 or 50 if i felt like it. I did badly on the free response and i want to know about what percentage of free response points I will have to earn if i get about 40 mc right. I'm just asking for estimates here, but numbers are nice. I think i can get about 40 mc right overall and maybe half the free response points. What would that get me? I heard its 60% overall to get a 5 which surprised me. Based on how much my teacher sucks, and how ill-prepared i feel, I'll be ok with a 3. Think i can do it?

can anyone answer please? This info will really help me know what to study.

If you're doing badly on the free response, I suggest you work on that since that's worth about half your grade. I forgot the exact format, but you choose like 2 out of 3 free responses offered, 5? out of 8? equation things, and an essay part or something. Also, one of the questions is a lab problem.

On the MC, you should get AT LEAST 70% maybe. I thought I did pretty well on the test, got a 5. :)

70%!, my teacher said i could get a 3/4 with 30/75 mc and about half the free response points! 70% seems like a lot considering our teacher's standards.

Oh, lol well 40/75 seems a bit low IMO.

I meant 70% for a 5 on the AP b/c that's what I was aiming for. Sorry about the confusion.

A 30/75 isn't even 50%...but a 3 is possible I think. Wait for other posters to clarify. Sorry if I'm giving out the wrong information.

i've heard an overall of 60% = 5.

i'm shootin for overall of 70% so i'm guaranteed that 5.

60% = 5, thats what i thought. I want to get at least a 4 so I'll go for about 60%.

good raw score for a 5 is about 45, then you should get about 60% of the free response

how many point if you get 45 mc right do you need on the open ended please give me a number and percent
