How is AP scores taken into consideration by colleges anyways?

Hi, like the tittle says, I was wondering how university take into account the AP exams that one plans to take in their senior years. In junior, i took Cal BC and Physics B and got 5 on both, and I'm planning to take around 5-6 APs this year. However, I realize that the scores dont come out until late july I believe, which is way past the acceptance date. So...does AP scores in senior years really matter that much other than getting credits? Cause if not, then I'll drop some to reduce some workload.

Taking AP's shows colleges that you are continuing to work hard. Plus, they can increase your GPA in midyear reports if you do well.

It's up to you.

When you start college in the fall of the year after your APs, the college still gets you’re AP REPORT, and thus will be able to give you more credit accordingly.

And one way or another, take more APs! It always looks better on an application.
