I'm new to CC and I've looked up Chapman social life but haven't found much. I have recently been admitted to the Dodge Film School for broadcast journalism and am thrilled! However from the little I've read, I'm worried that Chapman doesn't have the best social life. How is the social life? Obviously while academics come first, I would also like to have some fun. I've read that parties normally get shut down really early, is this true? Obviously I know Chapman isn't a major party school but do they still have decent parties, and how is the social life overall? Also any advice for an incoming freshman film major?
Thanks!

Oh, and I am planning on rushing a sorority!

Hi collegegirl, Congrats on your admission to Chapman Dodge! Have you visited the school yet? If you’ve been admitted, attend their Preview Day. This will give you the chance to ask questions, speak to faculty and current students there. As for advice for incoming freshman film major, from what I hear from DS, it’s important to keep an open mind and make the most of your time there, be nice, get connected with your fellow students, you never know where your connections may take you. Social life at Chapman depends on each student, like any other school, you’ll find students who like to party, and some don’t. It’s wise to be mindful of one’s responsibilities. There are plenty of activities and opportunities you can get involved with at Chapman, such as clubs, organizations, sports, internships and jobs, etc.
