I assume this will be similar to other colleges, but I am just not sure. How is class(lecture) attendance check done? Is it by calling out names, or is it something else?

Honestly, it depends on what type of class it is. I have been in both larger lectures and small discussions. For the bigger lectures, sometimes professors use what is called an i Clicker which is kind of like a remote. They display a question on the screen and you use your iClicker to answer the multiple choice question and they can see by who answers if they are in attendance that day or not. However, some other big lectures I was in didn’t have any type of attendance system at all so they had no idea if you were there or not. For the smaller classes (I have only been in 1 or 2), they could use iClicker as well which i think is the primary way to get attendance done or I’ve had classes where they just pass a sheet of paper around and you write your information on it. Hope I helped!

Just curious fundingchain, why do you ask?
