I was recently at Columbia, and must say it is a very nice campus, but I was wondering how the engineering program at Columbia is? Typically when I hear Columbia, I think of Med-School (maybe thats just because my neighbor is a neurosurgeon who went to CU), but I've never heard anything about the engineering program. I'd imagine its good because Columbia is an Ivy, but I just want to be sure. So if anyone could explain any of the following, that'd be great.

-How big is the engineering program? i.e. number of engineering majors/faculty size
-How is the Computer Science program?
-How are the Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering programs?
-Compared to other major engineering schools (MIT, Purdue, Stanford), how is Columbia?
-Do many students enjoy the program?

The only reason I ask is because I like Columbia, but I've never actually heard anything about it other than the med-school, and liberal arts program. I'm more or less just interested in finding out more about it.

Thanks for any insight.
