How is Cornell as a school?

I have never visited nor known anyone in an ivy league university such as Cornell, so I don't know much about it. How is Cornell as a school? If you pursue an English or Sociology major, do you usually stay up studying all night? Compared to an AP class in high school, how difficult are the classes?

Classes are difficult, I won’t lie to you. But as with any college, time management will make all the difference on if you stay up all night or only work during the day. The amount of course work may not be overwhelming at all (I know mine was very reasonable), tests are hard, very hard and you have to study. I didn’t have AP in high school so I am not sure about the level but I would say comparable.

The academics are great, when a teacher is talking about research and new theories, other professors at Cornell are always mentioned. It is wonderful and so rare to have the forerunners in each field be right here on campus.
