Anyone wanna share their experiences?

not as generous as Columbia's thats for sure. I am now having second thoughts. I thought I was sold to Cornell but the financial package is making me rethink.

Hi Afrikaan, I've been noticing your posts the past couple days because my son is also a potential physics major admitted to both Columbia and Cornell (everything else rejection or wait-listed, still waiting on University of Chicago decision). We have the Columbia aid package and it is do-able for us..........still waiting on Cornell's financial info. Ds was admitted to University of Illinois which is great in physics and has in-state tuition for us(but huge). Columbia is offering him the same out of pocket cost as U of I. Cornell should be coming Monday or Tuesday and I'm curious what they will offer. Do you have your Cornell offer to compare to Columbia?

momoffive

I believe Afrikaan is an international applicant, and Cornell has limited amount of aid available to internationals.

yes I am an International Student.

I got ~$30000 from Columbia, loan free
and ~$28000 from Cornell, with some loan

I'm curious about the financial aid from Cornell as well. Is Cornell generous when it comes to financial aid?
