I often hear positive things from Dickinson students/alum who studied political science or international relations. Do any of you know how it would be for someone who wanted to study Biology?
And do you know if that department is dominated by pre=health kids? My child wants to be a scientist (i.e. get a PhD eventually). Thank you,
I think you will find that the majority of bio majors are looking toward med school at any university. That said, some (JHU, for example) are particularly pre-med focused. I don’t think that is necessarily the case at Dickinson. 13% of Dickinson grads get degrees in Biology or a related life sciences field, which is a healthy sized class. (You can get this info about any college by searching for the Common Data Set and looking at Section J)
