loslobos...ur so damn biased. temple engineering program is NOT even close to that of drexels. Temple has minuscule engineering program when compared to drexel's. Drexel's engineering is ranked ~50th in the country and they have one the best biomed programs. Temple does not even have a Biomed program. I applied to both schools, and researched both before making a decision. Try to think about what ur saying before you say something stupid. If you have a problem with the safety of Drexel...how can u possibly think Temple is any better.

I just got back from my orientation and i had a great time. The Biomed professors are fantastic and the people i met were great. Philly is an amazing city and ill have a great four years there.

Congratulations. You will have a great time here with your attitude and motivation. If you can, for Physics try to grab Professor Venkat. He was an awesome professor, though I don't know if he's retired now.

Back on topic: Where is all the people who like to make comments, but can't back it up?

I do think so. It's still a young program, but my dad has several extremely successful colleagues who went to Temple for engineering.

Just like how your father knows several successful colleagues who attended Temple's engineering program, there are plenty of successful students as Drexel as well. Apply your logic to both sides.

I agree with you here- Temple's engineering program has a lot of potential, and if one applies themselves, than the opportunities are there. I think that engineering in itself is very tough, and you will get a good education at any of the well known school's engineering programs.

You still fail however, to back up your reasonings. Again, just because you know someone does not justify an argument, and you make no attempt to backup your clause.

i know people that go to drexel and i hang out there from time to time. pretty much everyone i know that goes there hates the school. they feel like the school lets everyone in just to suck up tuition money and then let them fail out. the campus isn't that great. all the shops and amenities of university city is in penn's part of the neighborhood. the only places to eat that are really close to the dorms are 7/11 and drexel pizza. the drexel cafeteria is much closer to penn dorms then drexel dorms. the parties are over-crowded and have a terrible guy/girl ratio. and the girls are ugly.

there are some good sides of drexel. philly is a great city and the co-op program sounds pretty cool but to me it doesn't seem to be worth the extra 20k a year to go there instead of a public school like temple.

bennyblanco: You said, "they feel like the school lets everyone in just to suck up tuition money and then let them fail out."

If they're failing, it's because they are unable/unwilling to do what it takes to live up to Drexel's high standards. Yes, the students who stay and graduate are looked upon with respect (especially engineering students) because it is well known that those who survive are well qualified in their field.
