how is easy is it to switch majors?

I got into RPI today and I want to know how easy it is to switch majors. I chose undeclared engineering, but now I want to switch to math major with operations research concentration

From my readings from their internet sites, there is a form to fill out and you get it signed by the dean of the department - I don’t think it’s that difficult but we are new to rpi as well.

When you go to the summer orientation (SO), you can change your major when you sign in.

I’m not sure how you do it during the school year, but I do know that it is ridiculously easy.

My daughter is a sophmore at RPI and she has changed her major 3 times. Its very simple, just get your form signed for a change from dept and sign up for new classes. Its a great school!

Hello, I would like to know how easy is it to change school within RPI. I got into the computer science major in School of Science. I really want to switch to the Electrical engineering major in the School of Engineering.

Sorry OP :)

It’s not hard at all to change majors. You just need to send an e-mail to the admissions office. It’s the “update” e-mail address, but I can’t remember it off the top of my head. You can switch from school to school no problem. I read that as a freshman you can only go in with 1 major though, and I don’t know when you can declare a second.
