How Is Eberly College?

3 Questions:
1. How difficult is it to get into Eberly compared to the other schools?
2. Is their science program good?
3. Do a good majority of the students go to a good grad school?

same difficulty it is to get into any other program at PSU. Soph entrance to major requires decent grades in Calc, Gen Chem, and Intro Bio

yes

Some go to Med school, law school, enter industry, teach HS, or enter graduate school. Not everyone has to go to graduate school, it only necessary if you want a career in academia or want an industrial research job.

Thanks for asking my questions. I should have been a little more specific for #2 so im going to aask how good/known is it nationally? thanks again

Penn State, being a big research university, is known particularly for its math and science programs. It is most prestigious in math related subjects–engineering, business, chemistry, physics, etc.

From what I can tell, Penn State likes to specialize in certain subjects. Its supply chain management program, which is part of the school of business, is regarded as the best program in the country. Most of the other business programs rank lower, although they all still rank very well.

I suppose the same is true of the engineering school–mechanical engineering might not be as good as chemical engineering, for instance. And this follows with eberly too. Specific subjects may be stronger than others. I’d do some more research on your own.

Bottom line, Penn State is a good school and you should have an easier time than other people getting a good job because of Penn State’s superb job placement program.
