How is everyone feeling about Gallatin?

I just wrote a big huge long thing about my stats, but my browser timed out and I lost it.

What are your stats?
(For Gallatin, especially ED)

Which semester are you applying for (spring 09 or fall 09)? I am currently putting up my application for admission for spring 09 (Gallatin).

How selective is Galltin?

I'm applying ED for fall 09. I hear it's pretty selective, but i think a lot of weight is put on your essays and what you can contribute to the environment at the school. Plus you have slightly better chances going ED.

I plan on concentrating on a media design and digital arts type thing...I plan on someday working as an art director for a magazine in the city, and eventually start my own publication.

Female, Hispanic
GPA: 3.73 unweighted
Class Rank: 33 out of 284 (bad because of moving to a new state in January)
SAT: 650-reading, 660-math, 640-writing (bad...I'm just not too fond of the SAT and it's 10 sections)
ACT: 32 (I also just took this September 13th, and I feel like I did better than a 32 this time)
SAT II: taking physics, lit, and math I on October 4th.
EC: Yearbook 3 years, head design editor as a senior; student government freshman year, and junior and senior year, I'm the student council publicity officer this year and I'll probably be setting up a web page and be working on some more design stuff; golf 4 years (varsity for 3 years), captain senior year; I have had 4 different jobs since sophomore year, about 15 hours a week; just landed a photo internship with a local magazine; basically, I take a lot of pictures and I absolutely LOVE communications design.

AP classes: English III, English IIII, Physics B, Computer Science, World History (1 semester), European History, Statistics.

I'm applying ED to Gallatin, I'm hoping to do some sort of dramatic literature/dance/journalism concentration (I want to be a writer about musical theatre).

Female, caucasian
GPA: 3.83 unweighted
SAT: 2100 (740 math, 700 CR, 660 writing)
SAT II's: 660 US History, 680 Literature...and a really bad French score, but I'm retaking that in October so it'll change.
AP's: 5 on English Language & Composition, 4 on US History (and I'm taking AP English Lit, AP Calculus AB, and AP French Language this year)
EC's: A whole ton of dance stuff (dance classes, competitions, choreography, performances with a non-profit dance company, dance camp counselor, dance study in NYC), school musical (9/10th grades), Literary Magazine staff for all four years, musical theatre classes this year, french honor society. I also might start work as a production/research assistant for a musical theatre-related documentary soon, but I'm holding off on putting that on my app until I know for sure.
