Hey guys. i was just so confused on how GPA is calculated? Is 2 B+'s and 2 A-'s equivalent to a 3.3? What if the 4 grades add up to a 90? wouldnt that then be a 3.67? i'm so confused. help would be appreciated

Generally speaking, a B+ is a 3.3 and a A- is a 3.7. So that’d make your GPA a 3.5.

Most colleges take the value of the letter grade (dependent on whether or not they use a +/- system) and multiple it by the total semester hours for that course. Then you add up all those values and divide by the total number of semester hours attempted.
