<p>What should I expect?</p>
<p>Expect to take a lot of placement tests for credit rather than receiving transfer credit according to some kind of matrix, and if you're living in university accommodations, expect to move into an awesome but low-key transfer/upperclassmen dorm.</p>
<p>I ended up with no credit from my first school aside from electives, but I'm still super glad I transferred. My adviser is pretty helpful and the transition was smooth. O-Week has meetings and events specifically for transfer students, and they're very informative. I'm noticeably happier and more satisfied here than I was prior.</p>
<p>Make sure to check out financial aid so you know what you're getting into. And expect people to ask a lot of questions when your answer to "What year are you?" betrays your malcontent background (it's fun).</p>
