How is MIT with late submissions?

<p>Even with the time zone difference I submitted part two about 2 hours late. The only excuse I have is that I decided to rewrite part of the optional essay at the last minute. On their website it says "part one: processed and part two: processing". They processed part one really quick but still haven't processed part two. Does this mean I'm in trouble? </p>

<p>Also, I looked over my optional essay now, and noticed a small mistake. Should I send in an email or would that just annoy them even more? :(</p>
