How is MIT's financial aid

For someone who's family income in the 120-140k range?

Terrible. Which is why I can’t go. I thought money would be the LAST thing preventing me from going to MIT.

Appeal, pigs!

I know all my friends who got into HPM received more at MIT, by far! I was surprised to read that from you! (bested only by S, in all 3 cases)

Don’t let finances decide your college decision! Let them know about your dilemma, I’ve heard MIT’s financial aid office is very understanding!

Selter

My family is in that range, and the aid was awesome. It’s only about a grand more than going to my state school. WAYYYY more than I had hoped for.

It should be all right, considering its MIT

MIT for the last few years had cut my EFC (as calculated by FAFSA) by more than half.

There are a multitude of other factors that go into your EFC, parental income is only a part of it. You should try using MIT’s finaid calculator (it’s on the admissions website somewhere) for a better idea of how much money your family could expect.

Well, my mom is just stoic on this matter. She doesn’t believe it’s much.
