I would say that's pretty good expecting your EPC to be 16K... only 2K gap to fill and that's not so bad.

This is what i got considering my EFC to be very low (around 1K?)

University Grant $31,401 $0
Federal Perkins Loan $2,380 $0
Subsidized Federal Stafford Loan $2,625 $0
Federal Work-Study $2,500 $0
Total Financial Aid
$38,906

The difference between your estimated cost of attendance (shown below) and your total financial aid eligibility is

without loans and an EFC of about $10,000 (which went up after i adjusted my FAFSA grrr), my financial aid package was $27,000 (~$8000 for Deans' Scholarship, ~$19000 Grants). that was generous enough for me to go. $5000 left in tuition, the rest like housing i'd have to pay as i went, so no debt to me.

hmm USC gave me enough money for me to CONSIDER usc but I don't think I will go there. UCLA's tuition is about 7k vs. 32k at usc. I would have to pay (32-18) 14k at USC which is double what UCLA costs. I'm not taking into consideration of housing costs into my decision because housing is going to be housing either way... its just I would have to commute daily from an apartment if I go to SC.

I was hoping my transfer merit of a 3.82 gpa would give me a higher grant but I don't think its worth it for me to go to USC... what are your guys's thoughts on this? I got admitted into UCLA Biz/Econ...

I'm glad USC is loaded. I acutally wanted to go to UIUC so I could aslo get an aviation degree, but they were 5 times USC even with their out-of-state tuition waiver
