How is MY Junior year schedule? (in terms of HW per night)

AP Calculus AB
AP Chemistry
AP Chemistry Lab
AP Psychology
Spanish 3
Honors English 11
Art

You’ll die.

How does Chemistry differentiate from Chemistry Lab?

Probably won’t have any

^^It’s basically the same class, but for some reason AP Chem is two periods at my school.

If it’s basically the same class, then why take it? O.o Seems like a waste of time…but that’s out of the question.

If you’ve done pretty well in your math classes prior to Calc AB, then it will go by at a rather easy pace. My Advanced Math Honors teacher told me that honors math students that went to AP Calc AB said it sort of went a bit slower than they expected. Low to Normal.

Spanish 3, especially since it is not Honors, will be a very low workload. Low.

English will be fine. At times you’ll probably get big papers - and by big I mean 5 pages at most, probably - but other than that, everything is rather manageable. Normal.

I heard Psychology is a lot of memorization, so that depends on your memorizing ability. Depends.

That’s all I can help you with. GL!

You don’t have a lunch?

It’s junior year so if you’re aiming for top schools you’ll indoubedly be up all night studying or doing homework. But that’s life I suppose lol. You have a good courseload.

It doesn’t look that bad. 2 hours tops most nights. It does depend on the teachers though, and with 2 blocks of AP Chem a day, maybe 1.5 hours a day.

That looks manageable. AP Chem will probably dominate your homework, but that shouldn’t be too bad.

“If it’s basically the same class, then why take it? O.o Seems like a waste of time…but that’s out of the question.”

You have to take both periods. There’s no taking one and not the other.

“You don’t have a lunch?”

Yes, of course I do. I couldn’t get into AP Lunch but I still have lunch. :-)

The OP’s schedule is nearly identical to mine for this year… :(

Your schedule’s fine. My school didn’t give me a lot of homework, but I didn’t have a problem doing 3 varsity sports and having a social life and still doing well in class. (I took AP Chem+Lab, APUSH, AP Calc BC, AP Language and Comp, AP Physics C, and Honors Spanish IV)

That schedule won’t be too bad at all. English could get annoying, but I took AP chem last year and, though it requires practice and thinking, it’s fun and should at most take 1-2hours. Calc AB I hear is a joke class anyways. Same with psych, provided your teacher isn’t crazy.

I think you will be fine, if you can handle it, my friend is taking 6 AP classes!

You’ll be fine.
