How is my schedule rigor, and taking certain AP courses

<p>I'm currently a Junior and I was wondering about how my course rigor is in terms of college admissions. I do plan to apply to some of the more selective colleges such as Harvard and Columbia, as well as other UC schools. Side note: I go to a private catholic school so a religion course each year is required and we had other certain required courses.</p>

Biology
Computer Literacy
Global Civilization
Honors Geometry
Honors Intro to Lit/Comp
Religion
Spanish 1
Intro to Dance</p>

<p>Sophomore:
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra 2/Trig
Honors World Lit/Comp
Oral comm and speech/ PE and health science (each 1 semester)
Religion
Spanish 2
Intermediate Dance I
Drama I</p>

<p>Junior:
AP Biology
AP English Language
AP US History
Honors Pre-calculus
Honors Spanish 3
Religion
Intermediate Dance II</p>

<p>and then i plan o take AP psychology online this summer</p>

<p>what i plan to take senior year:
AP Physics I
AP English Literature
AP US Government
AP Calculus AB
AP Spanish Languaage
Religion</p>

<p>I was also wondering whether it would be worth it to add AP Environmental Science as a 0 period for next year, because I want to go into a premed major, and I heard it could be beneficial to do more sciences, but then again, this would be senior year, and when we apply to college, isn't it that we wouldn't have completed the first semester, so they wouldn't be able to see the grades yet? but I was basically wondering if I'm also taking enough AP courses, because my school offers 14, and without AP Env, I'd have 9. </p>

<p>I assume that you are at the top of your class.Are other students from your school applying to these schools. How does their schedule stack up against yours? How many AP’s do you need for the GC to tick the “most rigorous curriculum” on the recommendation form?</p>

<p>Personally, I would not take APES in a zero period. I can barely shower and get coffee before 1st period, and I live on campus. Harvard and Columbia and most similar schools don’t give AP credit for APES.</p>

<p>The rest of your schedule is fine. Check with some seniors on what the workload is like in AP Lit at your school; the reading can be daunting, and you don’t want to get a C in an AP class. College applications will be time-consuming,so you need to factor that in. Only your ED/EA school will not see your first semester grades, but they will still get the mid-year and year-end reports from your school. So Senior year does count.</p>
