Thanks for replying.

I believe the $6,330 includes the miscellaneous fee…or perhaps it doesn’t. But you can easily knock $1545 off of that price. This make your tuition now $4785.

Your meal plan looks good. If you feel that 165 meal/semester is enough. Maybe jump up to the 15 a week one. Your board is $3100.

Your dorm is $4400. The director’s award could take off a large chunk of that. This makes your board $650.

You said you originally had the $4,000 grant and a $2,250 scholarship, but they deducted $2,300 from you grant, unfortunately. This leaves you with $3,950 in grants for the year. You could pay off the majority of your tuition with this grant. Making your tuition $835.

Your gap is $5,585 which many posters thought you didn’t “need”.

There are ways you can make these costs not so demanding. Defer your tuition, housing, and meal plan if you have not already done so. If you haven’t, do it within the next week. August 1st is the deadline for the meal plan. I believe you should have gotten an automatic tuition deferment. I suggest looking in putting your meal plan on the EZ payment so then you’re able to pay as you go.

A couple posters said to call to see if you can get your loans back. I suggest doing that as well, and taking out only for the necessities. The rest can be covered with a part time job.

I’m not sure if you have FWS, but there are plenty of jobs on campus with applications that are available now! Look into these jobs. I’ve looked into them and they are pretty cool.

That’s great! I’m hoping to establish some credit for myself through small purchases that I know I can pay off by the end of the month.
