I did call the FA office a day or two ago, and the person on the line was able to reinstate my loans. Yay.

I have looked into the Access Careers@USF website. So far, I have applied for approximately 20 jobs, haha. Nothing yet, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

I recommend the Capital One Secured Mastercard or Capital One Journey Card for students. I have the former. There’s a $29 annual fee, but I’m fine with that considering it’s really one of the only ways for people our age to begin building credit. You pay a $50 deposit in order to receive a $200 credit line. Once you cancel the card, you can get your $50 deposit back. Once I establish a credit score in a few more months, I’m going to apply for the Journey Card because there’s no annual fee and there are cash back rewards. I first applied for the Journey card, but was declined because I had no prior credit history, haha. As long as you treat it like a debit card, you won’t have to pay interest or get into trouble for spending too much. My mom was worried when I told her I was getting the credit card, but I proved to her that I can responsibly manage my own finances.

By the way, when you do get a credit card, don’t spend more than 30% of your credit limit during each billing period. Spending more than 30% is actually not good for your credit score. And, only pay off your statement balance, not your current balance.

I will check her show out tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up. :)
