How is the student life at NYU Poly? It seems that it's Brooklyn Campus leaves it isolated from the rest of NYU, and other students.

NYU and Polytech only merged in the past year or so. The majority of the students at NYU Poly entered as Polytech students, so there's really no association with NYU. The last time I looked, I couldn't even see a mention of NYU Poly on NYU's website. It's really a separate school altogether, although I imagine cross-registration is simpler now.

Poly's a pretty tech-heavy school with an unbalanced male-female ratio. The workload is rough, but it is well respected in the local area.

From what I have heard from friends that now go there the school is mostly a commuter school and no school spirit and campus events, so the student body is very unhappy.

There isn't much of a campus but the dorm rooms seems to be great. The lecture halls looked nice as well. The student ratio between male and female is heavy!! I think I might have seen about 5 girls in my time there who were poly students, 4 of them being asian. Overall their program seems strong but I am speculating that life won't be too fun. They described their "parties" as these carnival type of events where you go do all these child type of things. Other than that I am also trying to find out more information on this school. The overall building has some sections that need some renovation but it seems as if they have been recently renovating because a lot of the school looks as if it is brand new.

NYU-poly will be renovated internally and externally.
