How is one able to choose?

So basically here it is… I am currently between two schools. Lets call the first school, school A. So school A is 45 minutes from my house. It is a very small university and rests on one city block however, I believe it to be beautiful. I love the idea of having a more one on one interaction with my teachers, as it is such a small university. They have also offered me direct admission into the nursing program, as long as I maintain a 3.0 GPA. There are however a few negatives of this school. Firstly the NCLEX pass rate is a bit lower than that of school B, as well as the signiicant difference in price. School B is HALF THE COST! School B is a large university around 3 hours away from home. They are considered one of the best for nursing, however I was not offered direct admission, and I am afraid I will not make the cuts for the nursing program, as to be competitive, one must have a 3.5 or higher GPA. This is my dilemna. Does having the direct admission cancel out the significant increase in price, or should I try my luck at the larger university? Perhaps someone would be able to give insight on possibly going the community college route for my associates then transfer into another university in order to save a bit of money.

Can you please give your tota cost for school and and B? Are you saying school B is half the price even with boarding costs?

3.5 is a bit tough. How many classes do you have to take and is it automatic admission or still selective after meeting the prereqs?

School A is 30,000 while school B is only 17,000 including room and board. I would have to take 5 or 6 classes and in nursing there are only around 75-100 spots they can fill. I need to be uber competitive in order to make it into the nursing program my junior and senior year.
