How is SAT I Writing scored?

<p>Hi guys, does anyone know who SAT I writing is scored?</p>

<p>I did the SparkNotes online.</p>

<p>I got 42 out of 47 correct. The page says if I got a 1 for essay, my score would be 270, and if I got 12 on the essay, my score would be 620. That seems low, and honestly I don't have a clue how the Writing portion is scored. Does anyone have a raw score conversion sheet or something? Thanks a lot guys.</p>

<p>The ACT & SAT are scored on an identical holistic rubric. Things like vocabulary, absence of spelling errors, a “critical context for discussion,” and the like boost your score.</p>
