hi, everyone. I come from Taiwan and I'm researching about schools offer M.Arch 1. I know it's a small school, but their works seem good. SCIarc ranks good (in DI 2007, west region, the first, but out of top 15 from 2004~2008)
I would like to know more about SCIarc, can anyone help me?

Don't worry about rankings.
it's all about you and your talents.

have you tried looking at UCLA m.arch program too?
I can't say much for SCIarc but for UCLA I have little knowledge from my observation...

my knowledge of SCIarc is limited to checking out the student designs, but they create some crazy stuff. However, they seem to heavily emphasize technology (paper architecture)

hey
i'm a current sci arc student, 2nd year grad...from taiwan also

i'm not sure how useful i can be w/ ur question, but sci arc is a love it or hate it school. we're more of a design/theory school, so many criticism of the school is that its an unrealitisic architectural design school, but many praised us as being one of the innovative school that pushes architectural boundary.

so its up to you, either u come out and be a CAD monkey and do floor plans all your life at some corporate office, or you can learn cutting edge design and hopefully run ur own studio one day.

How is Sci-Arc's SICFI program? Anybody from there can talk about this?

by the way, is Sci-Arc has a scholarship support to the international student in the first year?

I was just at sci-arc for a tour and first impression on the out side looked ghetto but their work inside is really crazy and much more impressive then one from cal poly, in my opinion.
