A frd of mine is attending that college; however, I didn't pay attantion untill I did some random research online ealier today. It seems nice and small plus it has a long history. One thing I am worrying about is it is a liberal art college and my major is math. I checked its website then. It has math major and stat minor. That's exactly what I want.
I am thinking about applying. There is no fee if you apply online so I guess it won't hurt anything.
Anybody know this college?

I just signed a TAA contract with Davis. They all think I can get into that college.
Davis or UCSD or smith+scholarship? I mean if I cannot to to UCLA or UCB. Or it's actually really difficult to get into Smith?
My GPA is around 3.78.
thanks

Great for many reasons, including the ability to take classes at the other schools in the consortium (eg. UMass, Mt. Holyoke, Hampshire, and Amherst).

I have many friends that went/go there and they all love it. Northhampton is a cool town with some distractions, and there is free bus service for college kids to get to the town of Amherst (where Amherst College and UMassachusetts) make their home), South Hadley, and the town that MHC is located in. There is also a small skiing area nearby (Mt. Tom), and Springfield is about 20 minutes away.

I'd say go for it! Also look at Mt. Holyoke College as well. It also has a long history of educating women. Also beautiful campus.

While you are at it, check out Bryn Mawr in Philly. You can take classes at Haverford, Swat, and UPenn, if you wanted to. Great for the sciences.

You probably know about Scripps and the other Claremont colleges, so that is somewhere you might want to check out.

Thanks for ur responding. Now I am nore interested/ excited. I checked the lastest school ranking. They are all very good libral art colleges. The atmospheres there r good too. I prefer going to a smaller college if I cannot get into UCB or UCLA.
Do u know what's the min/average GPA

I go to Mt. Holyoke and its not really that hard, although Smith is a little bit harder. Many of the girls here got into Smith but chose Mt. Holyoke because the environment is considerably..."friendlier". By that I mean that Smith girls are predominantly more serious and more militaristic in their ways of thought and actions. Mt.Holyoke tends to be more laid back but on the flipside is not ranked as high as Smith. It all depends on what you want...word of warning though, Mt. Holyoke is in an extremely small town...there is not much to do.

It doesn't really matter, Mount Holyoke does not have mandatory SAT scores, you can choose to send them in or not. So I'm guessing that if you didn't take the SAT, they probably wouldn't care.

Never too late to take SAT?
I haven't taken any of them. I don't even know what do they look like. -_-!!
I've no problem with math and science I guess..but English and History(any other subjects?)....I don't know how long I need to prepare.
