how is telegraph commons? or wesley house?

I'm thinking of moving there.

what are some other good place to live with a single for a freshman?

What’s wrong with the dorms?

I would recommend against leaving unless there’s a huge problem.

if you’re moving to TC, remember to get the remodeled parts of it. it’s a little more expensive but i highly recommend it if you care about cleanliness at all. the remodeled parts of TC are quite new actually and are really nice, but the complete opposite can be said about the non-remodeled parts. i think their were some rats and bug problems at TC last year but i’m not sure if this was in the remodeled, not-remodeled parts or both.

Actually, the entire TC building is now remodeled

My floor is annoying. I feel like I’m being watched and my roommate keeps moving my stuff and using my stuff.

I thought you figured out the problems with your roommate.

I would recommend against moving out because it’s a lot of trouble, but your WHOLE floor is annoying? If you haven’t made any friends, that speaks perhaps a little bit about yourself as well.

From what I understand, you dormed over the summer, right?
Seems as though you clicked with that floor more than you do with your current floor, but that doesn’t mean your current floor isn’t as fun or that they’re annoying. As long as you make an effort, you’re bound to find at least someone to hang out with on your floor (though you should be able to find a good group of people).

How can you be watched? Just close your door if you want privacy.

like everytime i go to my room, they all stare lol.

and yeah my floor over the summer was much better and more friendly. it’s like my floor has already formed their own group and have judged me. Although, they all say hi. They’re all kind of immature though and a little strange. Like they’re not shy about walking with their shirts off, not just guys!

That’s something.

Yeah, it is. lol

What makes you think TC will be any better?

Also, walking around without shirts is against hall policy. Ask your floormates politely, or if you’re uncomfortable doing so, ask your RA.

Have you given them a reason to stare?

Actually it might be easy to just go straight to your RA via email (and ask to have your anonymity protected)

You don’t have to be best friends with your floormates (though that can happen, my floor is pretty cool). You just need to be able to coexist with them, same goes for roommates. If your roomie is moving your stuff around, maybe it’s in her space. But if it’s not, and she’s just moving your stuff for the hell of it, just have a friendly talk about it. Or address it in your room agreement if you haven’t done yours yet. But your floormates are even easier to avoid. Study in places other than the lounge like the library or outside. Join clubs, meet people for lunch or just to hang out between classes, and then you won’t be in your room as often and will have far less conflict.

It’s also possible that you just haven’t gotten to know people well enough yet. It’s hard to randomly assign dozens of people with annoying personalities all to one floor!

Why does shirtlessness make people uncomfortable?

It was on a girl. And thank god I didn’t see. But thanks for the advice! I think I’m going to get to know them and they’ve been more friendly recently for some reason?
